Life has much in common. All life works to obtain the basic needs to survive – food, water, wellbeing, children, safety, and rest. Most cultures have a deep gratitude and joy for having what we need to live another day, another year. Within hierarchic cultures, however, the plague of ever greater inequality denies those lower on the hierarchy survival basics and urges the privileged to consume more than we need.
The well-being of the Earth Interbeing depends rebalancing the access to basic needs life has for survival. Western capitalism will not do this for us. Thus, we do it for ourselves and for all life through self-discipline. Read more
